From Sept. 4-6, some of the best high school hockey players in the state gathered at Farmington Hills Ice Arena for the second annual Michigan Hockey Advancement Top 80 Showcase. The MHA – a Total Package Hockey initiative – brings together high school talent to compete in tournaments around the high school hockey season to maximize exposure for some of the state’s top players. The Top 80 Showcase serves as the final tryout to form two teams for the tournament squads, while also giving players a chance to skate in front of scouts and hear from USHL and NAHL personnel about advancing to the next level of hockey. New for Year 2, as well, was a chance for the players to demo Bauer Hockey products and hear from product reps. (Photos by Michael Caples/MiHockey)
