USA Hockey announced the players selected for the U.S. Under-18 Select Team today, formalizing the roster that will compete at the Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament in August.
Of the 22-player roster, are Michigan natives. The U.S. Under-18 Select Team was selected based off participation from the Boys Select 17 Player Development Camp.
Here are the Michigan names selected for the Ivan Hlinka tournament roster:
Forwards
Drake Rymsha – Huntingwood Woods – London Knights
Defensemen
Mitch Eliot – Grosse Pointe – Muskegon Lumberjacks
Ben Gleason – Ortonville – London Knights
Additionally, Western Michigan commit Hugh McGing (Chicago, Ill.) and Michigan State commit Ty Farmer (O’Fallon, Mo.) are also included on the roster.
The team will be coached by Derek Plante, with Michigan names Bob Mancini and Phil Osaer serving as assistant coaches.
