The Red Wings announced today that they have locked up one of their centers in Grand Rapids.
The Original Six club re-signed Louis-Marc Aubry to a one-year contract today, and while they don’t release terms to any of the contracts, it is assumed that it’s a two-way contract.
Aubry, 23, played in 67 games with the Griffins this past season, recording 16 points and 52 penalty minutes, along with a plus-nine rating.
The 6-foot-4 forward, a Red Wings’ third-round draft pick in 2010, has played in 231 career games with the Griffins since 2011-12, and he has recorded 48 points in the timeframe.
