The Red Wings wasted no time announcing new contracts for two of their best in Grand Rapids.
The Original Six club have agreed to one-year deals with Grosse Pointe Woods native Andy Miele and former first-round pick Tom McCollum.
Miele was named to the AHL All-Star First Team in his first season with the Griffins last year, after recording 26 goals and 44 assists for 70 points in 71 games.
