According to a post from the Ann Arbor Public Schools’ official website, the National Team Development Program will be keeping some of their Ann Arbor roots.
The NTDP, which is officially relocating all hockey activities to the newly-named USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth (formerly Compuware Arena), will continue sending their players to Ann Arbor schools.
Ann Arbor’s Pioneer High School has served as the longtime home for the players participating in the NTDP’s two-year program.
“A great family city, great culture, great school system, a good place to raise a young man, and we want to keep our program based in that,” said NTDP senior director of operations Scott Monaghan, via the release from a2schools.org.
That means a billeting program in Ann Arbor is still necessary for the NTDP, and host families are still necessary for next fall.
