By @MichaelCaples – As of 1:30 p.m. ET, the hockey world is still waiting for a definitive statement about Mike Babcock’s future home. However, some of hockey’s leading reporters and analysts are reporting that he won’t be behind the Red Wings’ bench when the 2015-16 season starts. According to TSN’s Aaron Ward (a former Wolverine, by the way) and Bob McKenzie, the Red Wings are no longer a contender for their former coach’s services.
According to @TSNAaronWard, DET is out on Babcock. BUF is out. That leaves TOR, STL and SJ.

It seems like the Toronto Maple Leafs are in the lead for signing Babcock, even though yesterday it appeared that the Buffalo Sabres were the front-runners.
Sources in BUF say they are OUT on Mike Babcock. Not going to BUF. — Bob McKenzie (@TSNBobMcKenzie) May 20, 2015
Where does he end up? Stay tuned.
