It may be March, but it’s not too early to start planning trips to Traverse City.
The Detroit Red Wings and GM/VP Ken Holland announced today that the Original Six club will once again be hosting the NHL Prospect Tournament next September.
The annual tournament – held at Centre ICE Arena in Traverse City – will be played from Sept. 11-15.
The Chicago Blackhawks’ prospect team will join a field that features the Carolina Hurricanes, Columbus Blue Jackets, Dallas Stars, Minnesota Wild, New York Rangers, St. Louis Blues and the Wings.
It will be the 17th time that Traverse City hosts the tournament, which has featured almost 500 players who went on to play in an NHL game.
