It might be the NHL’s trade deadline day, but the Muskegon Lumberjacks made a move, too.
The USHL club announced today that they have acquired defenseman Corey Schueneman from the Des Moines Buccaneers.
Schueneman, a Milford native, was a fourth-round pick of the Lumberjacks in the 2011 USHL Futures Draft before being traded to Des Moines during the 2012-13 season.
A Western Michigan commit and Little Caesars product, Schueneman currently leads the USHL in scoring by a defenseman, having recorded 39 points in 45 games.
The Lumberjacks also acquired forward Tyler Drevitch (Middleboro, Mass.) and a player to be named later in the trade, while sending forward Jack Rowe (Cary, Ill.), Liam McGing (Chicago, Ill.) and two future players to Des Moines.
