The University of Michigan swept Minnesota this weekend, and the B1G league office is recognizing two of the Wolverines for their efforts today.

The Big Ten announced that Zach Hyman is their top star from the weekend, while teammate Dylan Larkin (Waterford) checks in at No. 2. Penn State’s Eamon McAdam kept the Wolverines from a clean sweep, taking the third star spot.

Hyman, a senior forward from Toronto, recorded six points on the weekend, playing a big role in the Wolverines’ sweep of then No. 9 Minnesota. The Wolverines’ assistant captain recorded points on all four goals UM posted in their 4-3 Friday night win in overtime, scoring once and adding three assists. On Saturday, he added a goal and an assist in the Wolverines’ 7-5 win.

He currently leads all Big Ten players with 26 points.

Meanwhile, Larkin recorded four points on the weekend. On Friday, the Red Wings’ draftee and NTDP alum scored and set up the game-winning goal in overtime. On Saturday, he scored twice, including the game-winning goal for the Wolverines. He leads all Big Ten freshmen with 20 points.

The B1G selection is the second of the year for Larkin.
