On Saturday night in East Lansing, Michigan State played No. 3/6 Minnesota to a 3-3 tie and then topped the Gophers in the ensuing shootout for an extra point in the Big Ten standings. Brent Darnell scored twice for the Spartans, while Mackenzie MacEachern also found the back of the net in the Big Ten tilt.
