Welcome to MiHockey’s new feature ‘The Shift’ – hockey questions for hockey players. In each ‘The Shift’ feature, we take you through the mindset of today’s hockey player through a question-and-answer session, profiling players from the NHL all the way down to youth travel hockey.

Our next featured player is U.S. National Team Development Program Under-18 Team defenseman Nick Boka. The Plymouth native, a product of the Compuware AAA program, is a University of Michigan commit. Boka recently competed in the CCM/USA Hockey All-American Prospects Game (see a video interview with him here), and he was listed on NHL Central Scouting’s compilation of players to watch for the 2015 NHL Draft. Boka and the NTDP U18 Team kick off their slate of games with NCAA teams tomorrow, when they take on Miami University.
