The WCHA announced their players of the week today, and two Huskies made the list.
Michigan Tech’s David Johnstone and Shane Hanna were both selected for the weekly awards today, after they helped the Huskies sweep Bowling Green on the road.
Johnstone, a Grand Ledge native, was named the league’s offensive player of the week after recording three goals and one assist in the back-to-back away victories.
The junior forward has 11 points (seven goals, four assists) in 15 games this year.
Meanwhile, Hanna was named rookie of the week. The Salmon Arm, British Columbia native recorded three assists and a +3 rating during the weekend.
