The Red Wings announced today that they have trimmed their roster by six players, sending them to their respective junior and minor clubs.
Tyler Bertuzzi, Philippe Hudon, Kevin Lynch (Grosse Pointe), Zach Nastasiuk, Jake Paterson and Michal Plutnar have all been assigned, which means that the Detroit training camp roster now stands at 59 players.
Here is the information on the six players who will now report to other clubs, with their most-recent team listed. Michigan alum Kevin Lynch recently signed with the Grand Rapids Griffins, which means he will either skate with the Wings’ AHL affiliate this season, or the Toledo Walleye, the Wings’ ECHL affiliate.
