Good morning on this dreary Tuesday morning. It’s making it a little harder to wake up. I apologize for any typos that may come as a result.
Quick hits
Well, I included about 10 games in yesterday’s blog, which may have been of poor strategy; there’s no games to write about today.
Plymouth Whalers goaltender Scott Wedgewood is one of 41 players invited to Team Canada’s national team selection camp for the World Juniors. Saginaw defenseman Jamie Oleksiak and University of Michigan forward Phil Di Giuseppe also were invited to the camp.
Expect a few more Michigan names to be talked about when the U.S. roster is released.
MSU goaltender Drew Palmisano and Miami forward Austin Czarnik (a Washington, Mich. native) earned weekly honors from the CCHA yesterday. Read more about Palmisano’s big weekend here.

The Flyers and Rangers released the jerseys they will wear in the 2012 NHL Winter Classic. I like the Rangers threads, but I’m not too keen on the Flyers’. However, that’s coming from a biased opinion on Philly in the first place.
